Position Summary

HB Wealth is seeking an  Associate Director, Portfolio Management to work closely with Portfolio Managers, Advisory, and Investments teams to monitor client portfolio allocations, recommend suitable investment strategies, and facilitate trades using the firm's rebalancing software. This client-facing role is focused on ensuring portfolios remain in compliance with each client's Investment Policy Statement (IPS). As a key member of the Advisory Team, the Portfolio Manager helps implement the firm's investment recommendations across more than $25 billion in client assets, provides investment commentary to clients, supports and monitors portfolio recommendations, and contributes to the firm's ongoing investment research efforts.


Job Responsibilities

  • Act as a "go-to" investment resource to high-net-worth (HNW) clients.
  • Collaborate with Financial Advisors to develop investment guidelines that reflect each client's risk tolerance and objectives, as outlined in the client's Investment Policy Statement (IPS).
  • Independently oversee client portfolios, proactively recommend adjustments, and execute modifications as appropriate, with a focus on separately managed accounts and private investments.
  • Champion the firm's portfolio rebalancing software and investment guidelines.
  • Gain knowledge of the Firm's approved investment strategies, with an emphasis on private investments.
  • Manage research projects and complete special assignments as directed by the Investment Committee.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (required) with a focus in Finance or Investments (preferred).
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience working with HNW clients.
  • CFA Charterholder.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various securities markets, including private alternatives such as private equity, private debt and real estate.
  • A passion for teaching junior associates about financial markets, finance theory, economics, and current events.
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive approach to reviewing processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment by balancing multiple projects, collaborating within a team, and willingly contributing wherever needed.
  • Ability to successfully pass criminal background / credit check required.
