Job description

Director of Project Management

A senior leader responsible for overseeing development teams, managing projects, and maintaining relationships with government customers.

Responsibilities
  • Directly manage and supervise one or more development teams.
  • Act as an expert for multiple products and solutions.
  • Establish and accomplish team goals in alignment with Tyler Wisconsin’s business plan.
  • Direct and manage team resources efficiently and effectively to meet business objectives.
  • Oversee professional development of team members.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Development to align staffing needs and resources.
  • Set priorities, define expectations, and ensure teams meet key timelines and milestones.
  • Supervise, train, and develop staff.
  • Establish project management guidelines and processes.
  • Manage awards and grant submissions.
  • Oversee partner relations and foster a positive image of Tyler Wisconsin as a service provider.
  • Problem solve and troubleshoot issues for partners when appropriate.
  • Establish communication protocols and parameters for servicing relationships.
  • Maintain a global project pipeline and report to the General Manager and management team.
  • Interpret business objectives and align project development activity with priorities and strategies.
  • Oversee project definition, requirements, and development processes in coordination with software development and the Director of Development.
  • Identify, improve, and correct product development processes.
  • Serve as a member of the management team (General Manager, Director of Development, Director of Product Management, Director of Operations).
  • Manage key internal and external projects.
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley Act, DSS/PCI, and other industry standards.
  • Create updates and presentations for the eGovernment team.
  • Support yearly budget and month‑end processes.
  • Perform other responsibilities assigned by manager.
  • Travel may be required (0‑5%).
Qualifications
  • Degree, or equivalent, preferred in area of specialty.
  • History of managing multiple long‑term development projects.
  • Ten years of project‑management experience.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Experience communicating with high‑level partners and stakeholders.
  • Experience creating project‑management standards and improving processes.
