Position Summary

GateHouse Treatment is looking for a dynamic Director of Admissions to help shape the future of our client experience. This leadership role oversees the admissions process across multiple levels of care, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and the highest standards of empathy and professionalism.

The Director of Admissions oversees and leads the admissions function, ensuring efficient, ethical, and compassionate intake processes for all prospective clients seeking substance use disorder treatment services at GateHouse Treatment in Nashua, NH. This hybrid role manages staff, workflows, CRM/VOIP systems, payer communications, and referral partnerships to ensure accurate eligibility assessment, timely admissions, and Joint Commission-compliant documentation and practices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Leadership & Supervision

  • Directs, trains, schedules, and evaluates Admissions Coordinators
  • Holds regular 1:1 supervision meetings and call quality reviews
  • Ensures staff adherence to ethical, legal, and compliance standards

Client Intake & Assessment

  • Screens prospective clients using approved assessments
  • Determines eligibility, insurance verification, and financial responsibility
  • Consults Clinical/Medical leadership when clinical suitability is unclear
  • Ensures proper communication and warm hand-off to clinical team

Systems & Data

  • Oversees CRM and VOIP systems; ensures accuracy & functionality
  • Ensures complete and timely documentation of all calls & communication
  • Maintains accurate admit alerts, census data, waitlist management
  • Produces reports for executive leadership as requested

Referral & Outreach Coordination

  • Communicates with external partners for alternative placements
  • Supports network building and referral relations

Compliance

  • Maintains compliance with Joint Commission, 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, state & federal laws
  • Ensures all documentation and communication is timely, accurate, and secure
  • Ensures client rights, confidentiality, and ethical decision-making in admissions
