Job description

Associate Director of Intercultural Programming

The Thea Bowman AHANA Intercultural Center is hiring an Associate Director of Intercultural Programming. The Associate Director provides strategic leadership for the development, implementation, assessment, and continuous improvement of intercultural education, LGBTQ+initiatives and programming, heritage month celebrations, campus-wide signature events, and leadership development initiatives.  This role is responsible for the planning and implementation of several large-scale events, including signature intercultural programs such as Spectrum Retreat, Lavender Graduation, and various peer mentorship and dialogue groups supporting LGBTQ+ students.  In addition, the Associate Director creates and delivers educational programming for students and the broader BC community focused on engaging across differences, fostering meaningful dialogue, and developing engaged communities in support of Boston College's Jesuit mission.

TheAssociate Director serves as a resource to undergraduate students in supportingtheir holistic development. In this role, the Associate Director advises aportfolio of intercultural student organizations, manages their day-to-dayoperations, and coordinates mentoring programs and campus engagementopportunities aligned with Student Affairs strategic priorities.

The Associate Director of Intercultural Programmingcoordinates and oversees programs and services that directly enhance studentexperience and engagement within a Jesuit, Catholic context. This position isresponsible for developing and managing processes to deliver successful,outcome-driven student programming aligned with University and divisionalstrategic goals regarding community engagement. Additionally, theAssociate Director directly supervises an Assistant Director and a GraduateAssistant.

Each staff member in the Division of Student Affairs is expected to support division and university-wide initiatives, staff events, and serve on committees as needed.

This is an in-office position.

Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: 78,100 to 97,650; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
