Job Summary
Provides strategic leadership and administration in the areas of patient care, education, safety and quality in accordance with hospital policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position
promotes a professional practice environment and develops and maintains collegial and collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders across the institution to positively impact the business of clinical operations, nursing, and patient care outcomes. These partnerships include ongoing collaboration with physician, faculty, and organizational leaders. Responsibilities include but are not limited to
standardization of processes, identification of efficiencies, integration of performance strategies, and support of strategic business initiatives. Works in collaboration with all departments. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Provides strategic direction to ensure alignment of goals and initiatives.
• Leads initiatives to ensure patient engagement, financial stewardship, and high quality safe care. • Acts as a clinical consultant to appropriate committees and other disciplines.
• Directs and enhances growth and development of professional competency through professional
development programs
• Employs critical thinking, problem-solving techniques, new knowledge, creativity, innovation, and
collaboration skills to design systems that improve care delivery and outcomes.
• Fosters open communication horizontally and vertically.
• Demonstrates commitment to learn building and relationship management.
• Collaborates with other healthcare disciplines and physicians regarding nursing practice
initiatives, physicians practice initiatives, and patient care delivery.
• Serves as agent of change, assisting multidisciplinary team in understanding the importance,
necessity, impact and process of change.
• Provides strategic direction to delivery safe quality care reflective of standards,
policies/procedures/ guidelines, regulatory compliance and quality measures.
• Ensures development and implementation of effective on-going programs to measure, assess,
and improve the quality of care and services delivered both internally and externally.
• Exhibits fiscal responsibility and integrity in policy and process development.
• Participates in interdisciplinary teams that address ethical risks, benefits, and outcomes.
