Job Summary

This role is responsible for the success of the client financial life cycle (billing, reconciliation, receivables, and payables) across a portfolio of clients. This role is highly hands-on and facilitative, acting as a leader of leaders who requires a combination of analysis, team management, and project management, as well as a willingness to play an active, internal and client-facing role. This role reports to the Director, Client Finance & Operations and has fiduciary responsibility for the success of their team and the client’s budgets.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversight - 40% Oversee the project management of the order-to-cash cycle to maintain fiduciary accountability. Review work product of Managers and Senior Managers. Review client finance KPIs and ensure deadlines are being met for all client deliverables (client’s budgets, cleared/uncleared activity, billed/unbilled activity, PO’s and monthly Client Finance Updates). Oversee billing and ensure contracted terms are being satisfied. Ensure fees are set up in our media systems according to contract terms. Oversight of AR and AP performance and proactively address any discrepancies. Review Burn reports, ensuring accuracy and coordinating commentary with Brand Strategy Team.
  • Leadership & Management - 40% Manage and mentor a team of Managers and/or Senior Managers, ensuring team development and managing career pathing. Responsible for the success of direct reports by ensuring the team has the tools to be effective. Function as the primary point of escalation for the team and business partners. Participate in and prepare for monthly client finance status calls and internal Managing Partner Status calls.
  • Innovation - 20% Identify & participate in process improvement for the Client Finance & Operations Team. Champion best practices and continuously look for efficiencies and innovations. Participate in company-wide initiatives to bring standardization & process efficiencies. Encourage teams to identify areas of process improvement.

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • 7+ years of client finance experience, preferably within the media industry.
  • 3+ years in a leadership capacity.
  • Media billing and operations experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principals.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, Power Point.
  • Knowledge of SBMS/Spectra OX is a plus.
  • BS/BA degree in Finance or a related field.

Salary Range $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 A successful applicant’s actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual’s skill sets, experience, training, education, licensure/certifications, and qualifications for the role.
