Job description

                               Associate Director, Bioinformatics 

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with wet lab R&D scientists to design experimental setups for analytical verification and validation activities
  • Transition prototype software from early-stage R&D into production-ready workflows, enhancing core algorithms, improving computational scalability, and implementing robust QC measures
  • Analyze data from commercial and/or research sequencing runs to identify and implement improvements to algorithms and quality control processes
  • Present experimental findings and analysis results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on internal bioinformatics workflows
  • Lead bioinformatics development efforts for custom pharmaceutical collaborations and clinical research projects as needed
Requirements:
  • Master’s degree plus 7+ years of relevant technical experience in bioinformatics, computer science, computational genomics, or a related field
  • Proven experience leading data analysis projects and teams
  • Background in biopharma programs and clinical trial data analysis
  • Experience with both hematologic and solid tumor NGS panels
  • Deep expertise in next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis
  • Strong UNIX/Linux skills, including command-line scripting (e.g., bash)
  • Proficient in scientific programming languages (e.g., Python, R, C/C++; Python preferred)
  • Hands-on experience building workflows in cloud environments (e.g., AWS)
  • Familiarity with regulated environments and quality assurance standards such as ISO 13485, IEC 62304:2006, ISO 15189—or a strong willingness to learn and operate within such frameworks
