Job Title: Associate Director, HCP Omnichannel Strategy & Non-Personal Media
Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary and data-driven Associate Director of Medical Affairs Non-Personal Media to lead our Healthcare Professional (HCP) digital omnichannel orchestration strategy. In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for designing and executing non-personal media campaigns that bridge clinical care gaps and facilitate advanced medical evidence sharing with the HCP community.
Operating at the intersection of medical strategy, data analytics, and media execution, you will manage large-scale agency partnerships, optimize our multi-channel media mix, and build strategic partnerships with external sources of clinical authority. This role requires an influential leader who is equally comfortable challenging the status quo with media agencies and delivering formal strategic presentations to C-suite and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Omnichannel Orchestration
• Customer Experience Architecture: Define and scale highly sophisticated, valued HCP customer experiences through improved non-personal digital omnichannel orchestration, aligning touchpoints across Medical Affairs and various internal business units.
• Annual Media Planning: Drive the annual media planning architecture, establishing concrete media objectives, channel mix optimization frameworks, and robust, data-backed measurement plans.
• Clinical Gap Resolution: Identify and exploit innovative content and execution opportunities across digital platforms to actively address clinical care gaps and elevate scientific evidence sharing.
Technical Expertise & Agency Governance
• Third-Party Partnerships: Create, maintain, and navigate strategic partnerships with external digital platforms and Sources of Authority (SOAs) integrated into our central omnichannel orchestration engines.
• Agency Stewardship: Manage Statements of Work (SOW) and lead media agency partnerships with an elevated level of due diligence, vetting channel tactical plans against rigorous internal standards.
• Compliance Oversight: Guarantee absolute alignment across all media strategies with strict medical marketing guidelines, digital privacy laws, compliance regulations, and corporate procedures.
Data-Driven Analytics & Leadership Communication
• Media Mix Optimization: Synthesize complex, multi-tiered data points, market research, and media mix modeling outputs to continually analyze, iterate, and optimize the media channel mix.
• Executive Presence: Formulate and deliver polished, data-backed strategic recommendations and risk summaries to senior executive leadership tiers, including CMOs and corporate C-suites.
• Matrix Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams without direct authority, establishing standardized channel criteria to ensure a unified voice across diverse therapeutic areas.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent verified professional experience.
• Professional Experience:
oMinimum of 8 years within customer-facing functions, including healthcare marketing, digital media planning, or medical/digital media agency settings.
oDeep, broad-scale experience planning across multiple media channels, with a proven track record in both offline and online media mix planning.
• Analytical Mastery: Expert-level familiarity with advanced Media Planning Tools, Media Measurement frameworks, and Media Mix Modeling (MMM).
• Influence & Autonomy: Demonstrated ability to self-direct, prioritize multi-million dollar budgets, and successfully influence senior stakeholder tiers outside of your immediate functional group.
• Logistics: Willingness and ability to travel between 20% to 40% (dependent on employee base location) to support active corporate headquarters alignment.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams through highly dynamic, rapidly changing corporate transformations.
• High comfort level operating within ambiguity and navigating complex gridlocks in a highly regulated matrix environment.
• Meticulous verbal and written communication mechanics coupled with an uncompromising eye for compliance detail.
