Job description

Lathrop Community, a retirement community grounded in Quaker values and a commitment to enhancing the experience of aging, has an opening for a per diem resident services associate to join the team that provides concierge services and engagement programming to the residents on our campuses in Northampton and Easthampton, MA. This is a per diem position, paying $18-19/hour. Hours will vary depending on Lathrop's needs and your availability but will include three (3) hours every Sunday for resident engagement activities.
You will support resident services in a variety of duties, from being a point of contact for residents, families, and guests, to setting up and sometimes facilitating various resident activities and programs. You will use your creativity, organizational skills, and customer service experience to work with a team of staff and residents.
Our concierge is a key part of the resident services team, as well as serving an essential role in security and emergency response. The concierge is often the first point of contact for residents, their families, and guests visiting our community. We are seeking a new team member with strong organizational skills, a professional and courteous demeanor, and ability to remain calm and reliable under pressure.
What you'll do:
  • Greet and direct residents and visitors
  • Answer and direct incoming calls
  • Monitor the main entrance and register guests
  • Internal security sweeps of the building
  • Support administrative functions
  • Set up for and assist with resident events
  • Implement evacuation procedures during emergencies and drills
