Job description

Last Energy seeks a Licensing Associate to support regulatory, licensing, and safety analysis efforts. This role is centered on technical writing and document preparation, with additional responsibilities in supporting analysis and serving as a working-level bridge between the Licensing and Engineering teams.

The Licensing Associate will work closely with internal technical teams and third-party contractors to produce high-quality regulatory documentation and keep licensing workstreams moving

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and management of technical documentation submitted to regulators
  • Translate technical content from subject-matter experts into clear, precise language for regulatory submissions
  • Conduct spreadsheet analysis, including data collection, modeling, and reporting
  • Research, track and interpret evolving licensing requirements to ensure compliance
  • Collaborate with engineering, legal, and project teams to align licensing activities with broader project goals
  • Maintain organized records and documentation systems for licensing and regulatory filings
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in technical writing, licensing, regulatory affairs, safety analysis, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a technical discipline
  • Familiarity with licensing and regulatory processes in the energy or infrastructure sectors
