Our client is seeking a motivated and collaborative Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Madison, Wisconsin office. The ideal candidate will have strong civil litigation experience and an interest or experience in Trusts & Estates litigation.
This role provides the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys on a variety of litigation matters while developing independent client relationships and business development skills.
Practice AreasThe attorney will work on a diverse range of civil litigation matters, including:
Trusts & Estates Litigation
Business Disputes
Contract Disputes
Real Estate Disputes
Construction Disputes
General Civil Litigation
Assist senior attorneys with a variety of civil litigation matters.
Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Handle discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery.
Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and court proceedings.
Assist with case strategy and client communication.
Maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
Develop professional relationships and participate in business development activities.
Stay current on relevant legal developments and litigation practices.
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Wisconsin State Bar or eligibility for admission.
5+ years of litigation experience preferred.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases, assignments, and deadlines.
Strong interest in developing a long-term litigation practice in the Madison area.
Judicial clerkship experience is a plus.
The ideal candidate is an experienced civil litigator who is comfortable handling complex matters and working collaboratively with senior attorneys. Trusts & Estates litigation experience is highly desirable, but candidates with strong experience in business, contract, real estate, construction, or other civil litigation matters may also be considered.
