As a Senior Software Developer, you will design and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions for the software applications that support and operate our integrated sonar products. You'll join an established, cross-functional Scrum team to translate technical concepts and align with organizational goals. Responsibilities

Software Development and Delivery

  • Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions that address complex business and technical challenges.
  • Lead the delivery of major projects and initiatives, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Balance short-term delivery goals with long-term product quality, technical sustainability, and operational excellence.
  • Apply deep technical expertise to guide architectural, design, and implementation decisions.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively manage technical and project risks.

Ownership & Accountability

  • Take full ownership and accountability for the successful delivery of significant features, projects, and technical initiatives.
  • Independently gather, analyze, and refine business and technical requirements.
  • Ensure work produces measurable business value and meets established quality standards.
  • Drive issues to resolution while maintaining a focus on outcomes and customer impact.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, business stakeholders, customers, and external partners.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Build trusted relationships across teams and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.
  • Facilitate discussions that align technical solutions with business needs and strategic priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field or equivalent professional experience in software development.
  • 4-6 years of professional, hands-on experience in software development.
  • String proficiency in the C++ (17-23) and Python (3.0-3.14) programming, or equivalent experience with other object-oriented (OOP) languages such as Java or C#.NET
  • Solid understanding and practical application of Object-Oriented Design (OOP) principles, including SOLID principles, and design patterns.
  • Experience designing and implementing automated test strategies (e.g. unit testing, integration testing, system testing, functional testing) and familiarity with frameworks and tools (e.g. ctest, pytest, jUnit, behave, Squish, Mockito)
  • Proficiency with debugging tools, version control systems (e.g. git), and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with CICD principles, strategies and patterns
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in team-based development environments
