Job description

NEW Histotech OR Histology Technician Opening at a state of the art laboratory in Wisconsin! This laboratory prides itself on using the most innovative technologies and techniques available. In addition, this laboratory is fully automated and is able to provide more consistent and accurate results. In addition, their technology enables their patient safety efforts through a bar code system that tracks specimens as they move through the lab, reducing the risk of any errors. This growing laboratory has locations throughout the Midwest as well as the East Coast but is hiring for their Wisconsin-based laboratory.

This is a permanent and full time position on either evening (second) or night (third) shift (with some flexibility)! The histotech will be responsible for complex histological procedures and techniques such as grossing, cutting, staining, drying and freezing as well as preparing tissue specimens for routine and special procedures. For consideration, applicants should have his or her HT or HTL ASCP Certification as well as an Associate's Degree in Histology or a related field.

** Applicants without their certification will ALSO be considered!! This laboratory does have the resources to help individuals obtain his or her ASCP Certificate **
