Description
Seeking qualified part-time candidates to teach mathematics courses in Summer 2024 and Fall 2024.
Example of Duties
Courses may include Transition Math, Math Measurement & Literacy, Algebra/Trig I, Quantitative Literacy, Statistics, or Precalculus Algebra. Classes may be seated, hybrid, or online. Work hours may include day or evening classes. Duties will include lecturing (in person or remotely), holding office hours, preparing syllabi and lessons, and creating and grading assignments and tests. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
Typical Qualifications
Required:
Master's degree in Mathematics, or a Master's degree plus 18 graduate hours in Mathematics, from a regionally-accredited institution.
Preference will be given to applicants with community college or university teaching experience in mathematics. Preference will also be given to applicants who have experience with online teaching, learning management systems (such as Moodle or Blackboard), and homework management systems (such as MyLab Math or WebAssign).
