Great Lakes Academy is hiring a Math Interventionist for the upcoming 26/27 school year to join the team. Must have Michigan Teacher Certification and endorsement.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Math Interventionist to join our educational team for the 26/27 School Year. In this role, you will provide targeted math instruction and support to middle school students who require additional assistance. You will collaborate with teachers and staff to identify students’ needs and implement strategies that enhance their mathematical understanding and performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess and identify students' math proficiency levels and learning needs.

- Develop and implement individualized and small group intervention plans to address specific math challenges.

- Collaborate with classroom teachers to align intervention strategies with curriculum goals.

- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and materials to meet students’ diverse learning styles and abilities.

- Monitor and document student progress and adjust interventions as needed to ensure student success.

- Provide regular feedback to students, parents, and teachers on academic progress and areas for improvement.

- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that motivates students to engage with math.

- Stay current with best practices and research in math education and intervention techniques.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.

- Valid teaching certification in Mathematics or a related subject area preferred.

- Experience working with middle school students, particularly in a math-focused setting.

- Strong understanding of math concepts and effective intervention strategies.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and parents.
