Position Overview

The University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas) School of Business invites applications for a Lecturer of Management in Hospitality Management position starting in Fall 2026. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track position, responsible for teaching four (4) courses per semester. The successful candidate will be expected to achieve excellence in teaching and service, and to assist in further development of the UNT-Hospitality Management Program. Individuals with interest in building connections for student opportunities are strongly encouraged to apply. We seek candidates who are committed to excellence in teaching and service.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in hospitality management, management, or another closely related area.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching.
  • Experience with online and/or hybrid teaching formats.
  • Evidence of ability to contribute to the positive culture of our school, university, and community.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Participate in service activities, including program development, course development, program assessment, community development on behalf of the hospitality program, and committee leadership.
  • Provide instruction in a full range of undergraduate hospitality management courses.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A doctoral degree in management, hospitality, or a closely related discipline from an AACSB-accredited school.
  • Academic experience working on a campus with culturally diverse students, staff, and faculty.
  • Experience in developing both face-to-face and online courses.
  • Experience in curriculum development and program assessment.

Job Duties

  • Teach undergraduate courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and online modalities.
  • Engage in university, professional, and community service.
  • Support student success and career development initiatives.
