Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance and Accounting Associate to join our team. This role supports both accounting and finance functions, including maintaining financial records, assisting with compliance, payroll processing, and analyzing contract performance. This position is an in-office job located at our HQ in Elkridge, MD.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare payroll and accounts payable.
  • Maintain appropriate records and documentation to support financial activities. i.e. payroll and accounts payable.
  • Assist with invoicing and timekeeping to ensure timely and accurate entries.
  • Assist in the month-end close activities and reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Update and maintain spreadsheets to support financial reporting and data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information, ensure payroll accuracy, and provide financial insights.
  • Assist in analyzing contract financials, focusing on CDRYL submittals, projected staff hours, revenue, and profit margins.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, DAR, FAR, and other applicable government regulations.
This position is ideal for candidates who are looking to build a strong foundation in finance and accounting within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
Qualifications:
  • Candidate must have an Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; however, additional relevant work experience may be accepted in place of a formal degree
