Sr. Analytics Practitioner (BI / Data Analytics Focus) Location: Remote (local to DC preferred) Clearance: Public Trust or higher required Make an Impact Where It Matters Most Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is seeking a Sr. Analytics Practitioner to support a federal client in delivering end-to-end data analytics and business intelligence solutions. This role is hands-on and technical, focused on working directly with data - from querying and transforming large datasets to building dashboards and delivering actionable insights. You will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making by ensuring data is accessible, reliable, and effectively visualized for stakeholders. What You'll Do * Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate data from multiple sources * Design, build, and maintain ETL/data pipelines to support analytics and reporting workflows * Work with large, complex datasets to clean, transform, and structure data for analysis * Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, and/or Databricks * Deliver clear, actionable insights to business and technical stakeholders * Support data modeling and data warehouse structures for scalable analytics * Perform data quality validation and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy and reliability * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions * Present findings to non-technical audiences, including leadership * Support Agile delivery (user stories, testing, SDLC participation) Required Qualifications * 3-5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL (querying, joins, aggregations, performance tuning) * 3-5+ years of experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) building dashboards and reports * Experience working with Databricks or similar data platforms (Spark, Snowflake, Fabric, etc.) * Experience building or supporting ETL/data pipelines * Strong experience with data cleaning, transformation, and large dataset processing * Experience with data modeling and data warehouse concepts * Ability to translate data into business insights and recommendations * Strong communication skills and experience working with stakeholders * Experience working in an Agile environment Nice to Have * Experience with Python or R for analytics * Exposure to predictive analytics or machine learning * Experience in federal or regulated environments Schedule & Work Model * Full-time (40 hours/week) * On-site in Washington, DC Why Join Blue Rose? * Work on high-impact federal data initiatives * Build solutions using modern data and BI platforms * Collaborate with technical and business leaders * Deliver analytics that directly influence mission-critical decisions
