Job description

Job Summary:
Hussmann is a global leader in commercial refrigeration equipment, and they are seeking a Director of Data & Analytics to define and execute their enterprise data, analytics, and AI strategy. This role involves driving the data platform roadmap, leading analytics initiatives, and ensuring data quality and governance to deliver business value.
Responsibilities:
• Define and execute Hussmann’s enterprise Data & Analytics strategy aligned with business and IT priorities.
• Partner with executive and business leaders to identify and prioritize high-value analytics and AI opportunities tied to revenue, productivity, customer experience, and operational performance.
• Establish and communicate D&A KPIs, roadmap progress, and business value realization.
• Lead the enterprise data platform strategy across cloud data, analytics, BI, and integration capabilities, with Microsoft Fabric migration as a strategic priority.
• Ensure enterprise data is AI-ready through strong foundations in data quality, governance, lineage, semantic modeling, and MDM.
• Drive enterprise AI strategy, including GenAI initiatives, governance, and responsible AI practices.
• Partner with business and IT teams to pilot, scale, and operationalize AI-enabled solutions.
• Ensure reliable, scalable, and cost-effective data and analytics platforms that meet operational and service expectations.
• Champion data governance, stewardship, MDM, and enterprise data quality standards.
• Partner with Security, Legal, Compliance, and Digital teams to ensure proper data privacy, classification, and regulatory alignment.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, observability, and vendor/service optimization.
• Build and lead a high-performing global Data & Analytics team across the US and India.
• Develop organizational capabilities across data engineering, analytics, BI, integration, and AI/ML.
• Manage the D&A budget, vendor relationships, and strategic partnerships to maximize value and execution.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field required
• 15+ years of progressive IT or business experience, including 7+ years in Data & Analytics leadership
• Experience leading enterprise-scale cloud data modernization initiatives (Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar)
• Proven success delivering measurable business value through analytics, data platforms, and AI initiatives
Preferred:
• Master’s degree preferred
• Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred
