Description


The Industrial Engineering Technician at IKA supports process and manufacturing operations by managing process documentation, maintaining ERP data, and facilitating technical and product-related activities. This role ensures efficient workflows, accurate system records, and smooth implementation of product transfers.


ย Essential Duties & Responsibilities:ย ย 

  • Process ECNs (Engineering Change Notices) for process operations.
  • Support software updates, system changes, and installations for process equipment.
  • Create, facilitate, and document FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) and IQ/OQ (Installation & Operational Qualification).
  • Develop, maintain, and update SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and work instructions.
  • Enter and maintain BOMs (Bill of Materials) and routings in ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Monitor and clear Cogi messages for process activities.
  • Create and correct purchase requisitions for process needs.
  • Facilitate test series and implement product transfers efficiently.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.ย 
  • 2-3 years of Industrial Engineering experience, preferably in a machining, welding, or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and lab operations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
