Accounting Instructor - Inspire the Next Generation of Accounting Professionals

The University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB) invites applications for a dedicated and dynamic Accounting Instructor to join our Business Administration department. This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage in high-quality teaching, student mentorship, and community collaboration in a supportive and growing academic environment.

Primary Responsibilities
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate accounting courses on the Bluffton campus, with a 5/5 teaching load across introductory, intermediate, and advanced topics in accounting and taxation. Instruction is delivered primarily face-to-face, complemented by hybrid and online offerings as appropriate. Faculty are encouraged to integrate innovative teaching methods and real-world applications to foster student learning and professional readiness.

Service and Engagement
The instructor will contribute to shared governance by serving the program, department, and university. Service generally includes:
  • Student advising and mentoring
  • Committee participation
  • Professional service activities
The instructor will also assist in building relationships with local businesses to expand experiential learning and internship opportunities for accounting students.
