Job description

Accounting Specialist- Sage Intacct
Our client near Chandler, AZ is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join their accounting team on a 6-9 month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong technical skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Sage Intacct and advanced Microsoft Excel and be comfortable supporting a variety of accounting functions with accuracy and efficiency. This role is Monday-Friday, fully onsite.
Responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
  • Prepare and post journal entries.
  • Perform general ledger account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
  • Analyze financial data using advanced Excel functions.
  • Generate reports and assist with ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting-related issues.
  • Assist with audit preparation and provide requested documentation.
  • Support special accounting projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree (2-year degree) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Hands-on Sage Intacct experience is required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and data analysis functions).
  • 3+ years of accounting experience in a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations.
  • Experience preparing journal entries and supporting month-end close.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
