Job description

At Orbitel Communications, we have the job for you! We have an immediate opening for an Accounting Associate. This role will provide accounting and clerical assistance to the accounting department.  This will include the financial, clerical, and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely and accurate payment and collection of accounts.  This is an entry level position.

Job Type: Full-time

Rate: $24.00-$28.85/hour

Location: Office in Maricopa, AZ

Responsibilities Include:

  • Collections process to include reporting activities to deadline, monthly disconnect and collection letters, and client communication
  • Review AR aging and monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
  • Reconcile daily cash receipts and maintain log
  • Prepare bank deposits
  • Submit invoices to shared services accounts payable
  • Coordinate new vendor setup with shared services accounts payable
  • Primary point of contact for vendor inquiries
  • Monthly credit card statement distribution and receipt process
  • Office supply ordering
  • Other duties as assigned

You will need to have:

  • Basic knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization and with external customers
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrate good judgement and confidentiality
  • Ability to work to meet deadlines
  • 1 – 3 years of accounting or related field preferred
  • Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred but not required
