Responsibilities include:
  • Leading and guiding the productivity of internal and external labor resources in the absence of the Maintenance Manager/Assistant Maintenance Manager or as assigned
  • Assisting managers in the execution of the Safety Plan and facilitating safety related activities
  • Assisting managers in the development of associates
  • Configuring new operations, equipment, or processes in SAP and
  • Repairing and maintaining facility equipment.

Other Compensation Information
Year End Bonus
To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week's pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks' pay.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment
  • Knowledge of maintenance practices and the ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatics for all equipment and systems
  • Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot
  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate time management skills (plan, organize and follow-through on tasks)
  • Ability to teach others how to use manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Ability to analyze information and data
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in written format, including developing training material and conducting presentations
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office suite - Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Knowledge of power and electrical systems and controls
  • Knowledge of maintenance management systems
  • Knowledge of manufacturing plant or distribution warehousing facilities
  • Knowledge of safety pertaining to construction and maintenance
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations if working in a food manufacturing facility

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of computer electronics, ladder logic, and electrical control systems, including programmable logic control systems. This also includes knowledge of electrical power distribution systems and high voltage equipment.
