Clinical Research Nurse Sr. - BMT and Immune Effector Cellular Therapy - Center City

Job Description

Serves as departmental and disease team resource for research protocol initiation and implementation. Performs basic nursing skills, study coordination and data management, with a central focus on managing subject recruitment and enrollment, consistency of study implementation, data management and integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting. May attend leadership meetings and advisory groups. Assists in the development of workflows, SOP's and Guidance documents. Works closely with the clinical team to bridge the gap between clinical and research protocols.

  • Maintains a lab database of technical and animal protocols, and other key resources. Keeps accurate records of reagents.
  • Troubleshoots experimental design malfunctions and implements solutions, interfaces directly with equipment manufacturers for adjustments and repairs
  • Instructs research students on specialized techniques and complex protocols; participates in intra-collegial presentations and meetings.
  • Maintains lab equipment including the development of SOP for the use and care of equipment, ensuring proper operation and maintenance.
  • Processes all purchase orders, requests for payment, etc., acting as primary contact for vendors; track service request forms and enter into database; develop and process monthly billings of RTP activity; monitor TJU expenses; obtain bids for equipment and large supply orders as needed; develop; plan out large supply or equipment purchases; maintain records of transactions.
  • Assists graduate students and other lab personnel to help them perform their experiments.
  • Runs cell culture and electrophysiology protocols as directed by the engineering and laboratory directors.
  • Assists research personnel in preparing result tables, figures and text summarizing results of experiments.

Education:

Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing. BSN Preferred.

AND

Experience:

Minimum of 2 year of RN clinical experience in a health care setting. Clinical research experience preferred.

Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements:

PA RN License

Manager - Please list certifications, licenses, etc. for this job. Please indicate if they are required or preferred.
