Where is the work:

Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues. Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.

What's in it for you:
As the Lead Designer for the Airside Data Center Fan Coil Wall (TCDC) Pod, you will serve as a key design resource supporting customer-specific order execution for one of our important data center product platforms. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to develop models, drawings, documentation, and bills of material that directly support bid activities, submittals, order release, and manufacturing.

You will play an important role in driving design quality, documentation accuracy, design standardization, and continuous improvement while helping ensure timely and effective pod execution.

What you will do:

  • Lead design support activities for the Airside Data Center Fan Coil Wall (TCDC) Pod.
  • Create and maintain equipment drawings, CAD models, design documentation, and bills of material to support job processing and order execution.
  • Work closely with engineers to generate job-specific drawings and documentation in support of bid activities, submittals, order release, and production support.
  • Support the development of accurate product configurations, layouts, and documentation packages.
  • Apply drafting and design standards, methods, and processes to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Identify and resolve design issues with sound judgment and attention to detail.
  • Incorporate DFM updates into drawings, models, and documentation to support quality, safety, and assembly efficiency.
  • Support customer witness test readiness by updating drawings and documentation based on engineering and lab requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineering and other functions to support engineering changes, documentation updates, and product improvements.
  • Support design standardization and continuous improvement efforts that enhance quality, manufacturability, and responsiveness.
  • Help ensure design deliverables are completed accurately and on time in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain awareness of and adherence to company safety and security policies and procedures.

What you will bring:

  • The role requires relevant technical training with 10 years of experience. Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, electronic design or related field.
  • Experience in design, drafting, or product documentation support required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, ProEngineer, or similar CAD tools required.
  • Working knowledge of design and drafting standards, methods, and documentation practices.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or engineered-to-order environments preferred.
  • Ability to function effectively in a technical engineering team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-focused, quality-minded, and collaborative work style.
  • Experience with HVAC equipment, sheet metal design, piping packages, or related engineered products preferred.

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:

$89,585.00 - $124,950.00
