Information Technology - IT Business Analyst
Information Technology (IT) Business Analyst
Position Summary
The IT Business Analyst provides analytical and operational support to the Information Technology department by evaluating business processes, analyzing data in enterprise applications, identifying opportunities for improvement, and assisting with the implementation of technology solutions. The role serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to improve business performance, system effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Process Improvement
  • Analyze business processes and enterprise application data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis of process and system-related problems.
  • Develop corrective action recommendations and support implementation efforts.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements Gathering & Documentation
  • Gather, document, and validate business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain business and technical documentation.
  • Create process flows, user documentation, training materials, and work instructions.
  • Support policy and procedure development and version control.

Reporting & Analytics
  • Develop metrics, dashboards, and reports to support business and IT decision-making.
  • Monitor operational performance, service effectiveness, and customer feedback.
  • Analyze data to support strategic and operational initiatives.

Project & Stakeholder Support
  • Collaborate with business partners, project teams, vendors, and end users.
  • Support testing, training, change management, and solution adoption activities.
  • Assist with implementation and post-deployment reviews of technology solutions.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and technology initiatives.

IT Operations Support
  • Assist with IT administrative functions including:

Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
