Overview

The Senior Finance Data Analyst partners with Finance, Business Operations, and Technology teams to deliver highquality analytics and business intelligence that enable datadriven decisionmaking. This role translates financial and operational needs into actionable data solutions, supports data governance initiatives, and continuously improves reporting processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. This individual will lead complex analytics, mentors others, and drives improvements in financial data quality, scalability, and insight generation.

Scope & Impact

  • Leads crossfunctional or multidomain initiatives

  • Impacts multiple teams or Finance subdomains

  • Trusted advisor to Finance leadership on data and reporting

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design of complex financial data models and analytics

  • Partner with Finance, Product, and Technology stakeholders on transformation initiatives

  • Establish best practices for reporting, validation, and documentation

  • Mentor Analyst I and II team members

  • Proactively identify data gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities

  • Respond to ad hoc financial data and reporting requests, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.

  • Evaluate, streamline, and optimize manual processes and legacy reporting to improve efficiency, data integrity, and scalability.

  • Act as a liaison between finance, business operations, and technology teams to address evolving business challenges and enable effective data solutions.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.

  • Experience working with financial data and systems in a data analyst, business analyst, or similar analytical role.

  • Proficiency in data querying and analysis using SQL, Python, or comparable tools.

  • Experience developing dashboards and reports using business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).

  • Experience working with ERP systems and financial data structures.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated problemsolving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred

  • Experience in planning and/or project management.

  • Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry experience.

Annual Salary

$86,100.00 - $133,250.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
