Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical Telemetry
Schedule - Shift Type: Days & Weekends 1:5–6; Nights 1:6 - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend + holiday rotation
Assignment Details - Contract Length: 13 weeks - Guaranteed Hours: Minimum 3 shifts per week
Requirements - Minimum 2 years RN experience - Required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS; Telemetry, IV start - Preferred: NIH (NIHSS) - EMR: EPIC - Key Clinical Skills: Telemetry monitoring, IV starts/maintenance, peripheral/central line care, dysrhythmia interpretation, ABG interpretation, wound care, feeding tube care, phlebotomy
Roles & Responsibilities - Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics in a medical/surgical telemetry setting. - Monitor patients' conditions and make critical decisions based on telemetry readings. - Administer medications and manage intravenous therapies. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes. - Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and health maintenance.
Compliance / Notes - Flu vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions allowed. - Up to 7 days of RTO allowed per contract, no RTO allowed in the first week. - Pre-start modules required to be completed prior to start. - Facial hair must allow for proper fit-testing if required.
