American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN - Telemetry with cardiac experience for a Level I Trauma Center's Heart & Vascular Center, requiring a Compact or CT RN license.
Job Details
• Work in the Telemetry unit of the Heart & Vascular Center within a Level I Trauma Center,
• Cardiac telemetry patient population with an average ratio of 1:4,
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00,
• Required to work every other weekend,
• Floating required,
• Uses Epic charting system,
Job Requirements
• Active RN license (Compact or CT) required; pending license accepted,
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS,
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required (1.5 years considered with Level I Trauma or travel experience),
• Cardiac experience required,
• Teaching hospital experience preferred,
• 1 professional reference required,
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted,
• COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemptions only,
Additional Information
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration responsibilities,
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias with use of Rapid Response and Code teams,
• Provide care for patients with pacemakers, post cardiac angiogram, pre/post cardiac catheterization, and post MI,
• Scrub color required is royal blue,
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,
• Local candidates are not accepted if residing within 75 miles of the facility,
• RTO requests greater than 7 days require approval, with up to 7 days auto-approved,
• Previous travelers must have been separated from permanent staff positions for at least 2 years to be eligible,
• Travelers are obligated to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
