Job description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Outpatient Clinic Hematology Oncology position at a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center, requiring ONS certification and at least 2 years of experience.
Job Details
• Outpatient clinic setting within a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center with 1,500+ staffed beds,
• Hematology Oncology unit serving outpatient cancer and blood disorder patients,
• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM,
• Weekends required on an as-needed basis,
• Floating required,
• Charting performed in Epic EMR,
• Parking available on-site at an additional cost (~$125/month),
Job Requirements
• Active CT or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted),
• Current certifications: BLS and ONS (Oncology Nursing Society certification),
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required,
• Hematology experience required,
• Prior experience in a large Trauma Center setting required,
• Candidates must not have any disciplinary actions or priors on their nursing license,
Additional Information
• Responsibilities include triaging phone calls, managing patient messages, clinic and administrative support, prior authorizations, FMLA processing, and medication refills,
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are not eligible for this position,
• Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler,
• RTO of 7 days or fewer may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval,
• Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted,
• COVID vaccine and booster required; religious or medical exemptions may be considered,
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,
