RN - Geriatric Nursing
Schedule: Nights (7 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.)
Assignment Details:
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: Contract Weeks: 13
Requirements:
- Associates in Nursing
- Valid State RN license or compact RN license
- 1-3 years of previous RN experience preferred
- Medical terminology preferred
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect patient care in a specialized unit for residents with Alzheimer's/dementia, utilizing verbal and non-verbal communication techniques.
- Address and manage the complex behaviors associated with Alzheimer's/dementia as valid communications.
- Deliver skilled nursing and rehabilitation services to patients recovering from various conditions in a transitional rehabilitation setting.
- Perform nursing services including IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of care providers to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility in covering shifts and floating to other units as needed.
Compliance / Notes:
- Candidates with licensure hits will not be considered.
- Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.
- Right to cancel up to 3 shifts per contract.
- Candidate must reside outside of a 50-mile radius.
