Unarmed Security Guard - Rohnert Park, CA

Job Type: Part-time, Non-Exempt

Salary: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Work Location: In-person (Rohnert Park, CA) Must be able to attend orientation in Oakland, CA

Availability: Open availability required.

Position Overview

Diligence Security Group seeks Unarmed Security Guards for Rohnert Park, CA who are dedicated to ensuring safety, maintaining compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, and providing excellent service at client sites. This role requires open availability for various shifts, as well as flexibility, professionalism, and adaptability to various environments.

Requirements

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Valid State Guard Card License (MUST HAVE).
  • Valid State Driver's License with a clean driving record (MUST HAVE).
  • Baton, Pepper Spray, Handcuff, and Taser Certification (MUST HAVE).
  • CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (MUST HAVE).

Experience:

  • 1+ years of security experience.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong de-escalation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet programs.
  • Ability to assess situations effectively and identify critical issues.
  • Professional appearance and adherence to uniform standards.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or higher is a plus).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and internet applications.
  • Prior military or law enforcement experience (a plus).

Position Duties:

  • Serve as a visible presence to deter criminal activities.
  • Respond to unusual or emergency situations following established protocols.
  • Control access to sites through admittance procedures.
  • Patrol entrances, exits, and client locations to prevent unauthorized entry.
  • Warn violators of rule infractions and remove suspicious individuals.
  • Complete reports, including Incident Reports and Daily Activity Reports.
  • Respond to incidents such as fires, medical emergencies, and hazardous situations.
  • Maintain proficiency with assigned protective equipment and restraint devices.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to move for prolonged periods to inspect site area(s).
  • Ability to position self to inspect, may require bending, crouching, climbing, or kneeling.
  • Ability to move or adjust objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, etc.
  • Ability to safely operate machinery, such as motor vehicles, heavy equipment, or other types of vehicles.
  • Must be able to constantly work in outdoor weather conditions: low temperatures, high temperatures, outdoor elements, noisy environments, enclosed spaces, etc.
