Associate Program Director-Family Medicine Residency

HonorHealth and Salt River People Healthcare Center

Scottsdale, Arizona

HonorHealth is seeking an Associate Program Director Family Medicine (APD-FM) to be part of the core faculty at the HonorHealth Heuser Family Medicine Residency and 40% of clinical time will in collaboration with the Salt River People Healthcare Center which is part of the Indian Health Service. This position also offers an optional Clerkship Director position at the ASU School of Medicine and Medical Engineering accepting first class students (tuition free) summer 2026.

  • Lead & Innovate: Oversee curriculum development, ensure ACGME accreditation, guide recruitment, selection, and advancement of residents.
  • Precept & Teach Residents: Provide direct supervision, hands-on training, in both residency clinic and a small faculty continuity clinic.
  • Mentor & Inspire: Foster a passion for lifelong learning, oversee educational instruction, and support academic initiatives like book clubs, grand rounds, and conferences.
  • Advance Medicine: Collaborate with ASU to integrate emerging medical technologies into resident education.
  • Maintain Clinical Excellence: Provide direct patient care through a small, active continuity practice while actively engaging in the inpatient teaching service to mentor and educate residents in a hands-on clinical setting.

What We Are Looking For

  • MD or DO, Board-Certified in Family Medicine
  • New Graduates Welcome for the ADP SRP position: Must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and/or completion of a Faculty Development Fellowship.
  • Indian Health Service:  Passion for IHS, rural, or underservice communities.
