In this role, the Specialist acts as a prospecting agent for both new and existing accounts, conducting outreach efforts through calls, trials, emails, and presenting online product demonstrations. Collaboration and communication are key as the role involves relationship-building, product expertise, and consultative conversations to drive revenue growth and mission impact.

- Maintain accurate opportunity and customer data in CRM (Salesforce)
- Partner closely with territory Educational Sales Consultants and cross-functional teams
- Represent the company at in-person conferences or school visits
- Gather competitive information and share market insights with internal teams to inform strategy
Who we're looking for:
You don't need a traditional sales background to thrive here - many of our strongest performers came straight from the classroom. What matters most:
- Customer-centric mindset with a background in teaching, sales, or customer success
- Ability to translate classroom experience into consultative conversations with educators, understanding instructional needs and connecting them to solutions
- Results-oriented with strong follow-through and accountability
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency with essential business applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and chat-based AI tools, with experience with Salesforce (CRM) preferred but not required

- Flexible thinking to pivot, adjust and strategize
- Demonstrates integrity, ethical standards, and professionalism
- A genuine passion for improving education and supporting teachers and students
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3-5 years of work experience with a background in sales, customer service, or K-12 education (or a combination)-teaching experience is highly valued and considered directly relevant
- Or a combination of education and experience that proves competencies required for the role. Transferrable skills and/or relevant expertise is preferred.
Employee Journey:
Hybrid Model: We operate with an intentional hybrid approach that balances in-office collaboration (1-2 days/week) with flexibility to work from home. The role also includes occasional travel for in-person meetings, school visits, and conferences, typically 3-5 times per year.
Career Growth: Structured onboarding and product training is just the beginning. The Account Development team operates in a fast-moving, collaborative environment where ideas are tested quickly and where seasonal priorities align with the K-12 academic calendar. Ongoing learning and development along with mentorship prepare employees for new challenges, products and territories with the opportunity to move into advanced roles over time.
Benefits and Pay Range:
Pay Range - This role's range is $51,250 - $92,500. The wage range for this role takes into account the range of factors in making compensation decisions based on Curriculum Associates' Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.
Benefits - Benefit eligible employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees can enroll in our company's 401k plan and receive an employer match.
