Sodoro Law Group is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join our defense practice. This role may be structured as full-time, part-time or of counsel and is ideal for an attorney seeking flexibility while maintaining an active, meaningful litigation caseload.
The ideal candidate will bring 3+ years of experience in insurance defense, workers’ compensation, and/or general liability matters and be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Kansas and Missouri. 
Key Responsibilities
Manage defense litigation matters from inception through resolution 
Analyze complex legal and factual issues and develop strategic defense strategies 
Draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and discovery responses 
Conduct depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations 
Prepare witnesses and evidence for hearings, trial, and ADR 
Communicate strategy, risk analysis, and recommendations to clients 
Collaborate with partners, clients, and claims professionals
Qualifications
3+ years of litigation experience in Insurance Defense, Workers’ Compensation, and/or General Liability 
Licensed in Kansas or Missouri (both preferred; willingness to obtain reciprocal licensure required if applicable) 
Strong motion practice and writing skills 
Ability to independently manage deadlines and caseload 
Excellent communication skills 
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Candidate may work remotely from anywhere in Kansas or Missouri, provided they are able to travel to the Omaha, Kansas City, and/or St. Louis area periodically for meetings, collaboration, hearings, or client needs.
