Position Information: This is a regular, full-time position, reporting to the Executive Vice President, Chief Corporate Development Officer and CFO.

Compensation: Base pay is anticipated to be between $129,000 and $150,000 per year. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.

Location: In this US-based position your location will be remote. Candidates residing in the Northeastern US are preferred.

Travel: You can also expect up to approximately 30% travel, so be sure you have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance and a clean driving record for at least the preceding 39 months.

Envision Your Experience.

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Support end-to-end M&A execution, including target screening, financial and market diligence, valuation analysis, and drafting of deal memos and board materials.
  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate acquisition targets and strategic investments.
  • Conduct market sizing and competitive landscape research across the education industry to inform corporate strategy and target prioritization.
  • Analyze target company financials and operating data to identify risks, synergies, and integration considerations, and summarize findings for senior leadership.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, and business unit leaders to support deal structuring, due diligence workstreams, and closing processes, including funds flow and post-close integration planning.
  • Prepare board- and executive-ready presentations and memos that translate financial and market analysis into clear strategic recommendations.
  • Manage deal pipelines and diligence trackers, ensuring timelines, workstreams, and deliverables stay on schedule across cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor competitor activity, M&A trends, and industry developments to maintain a current view of the competitive landscape.
  • Other duties as required.

Share Your Expertise.

Experience, education, and qualifications essential for success in this role, include:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years (2-6 years preferred) of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development roles; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in the education industry.
  • Advanced analytical and technical skills, including a strong command of accounting and M&A concepts, and the ability to create complete financial models in Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills with strong time management skills and self-motivation.
  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint with strong attention to detail
