Job description

Location: Marshfield, WI
Company: Interstate Assembly Systems
Schedule: MondayFriday | 8:30 AM 5:00 PM

Interstate Assembly Systems is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented First Shift Shipping & Receiving / Warehouse Associate to support our Marshfield, Wisconsin operations. This role plays a critical part in supporting production through accurate material handling, inventory control, and warehouse operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the production schedule by printing, picking, and delivering materials and parts to production using our distribution system; ensure all picks are accurate.
  • Interface daily with project managers, engineering, and production staff to ensure order accuracy.
  • Process paperwork and perform data entry related to work orders and physical material movements in SX.
  • Follow warehousing policies and procedures, including material issues/receipts, storage, and location controls.
  • Check in inventory, put away stock orders, and maintain organized warehouse locations.
  • Maintain filing systems for SRO files in accordance with warehouse procedures.
  • Process all returns to stock inventory per established warehouse processes.
  • Assist with warehouse efficiencies, including part locations and process improvements.
  • Maintain warehouse metrics.
  • Support and participate in 5S Lean methodologies.
  • Serve as a backup for other warehouse positions as needed.
  • Perform end-of-day cleanup and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • Adhere to all Interstate Companies safety procedures and policies.
  • Assist with general shipping, receiving, and warehouse duties as assigned.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of material handling experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with Lean methodologies preferred.
  • Proficient with material handling equipment, including forklifts and reach lifts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities.
  • Ability to routinely lift 2550 lbs.; occasional lifting of over 50 lbs. required.
