Job description

About Us

From commercial office space and manufacturing to multi-site retail portfolios, we manage and support over 1 billion square feet of facilities space for the nationโ€™s leading organizations. We provide comprehensive facility services ranging from mechanical maintenance and self-performed, site-based operations to energy-efficiency upgrades and supplier-managed interior/exterior maintenance.

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and analytical Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive operational standards and improvement, data-driven decision-making, and reliability-centered maintenance initiatives within a dynamic Integrated Facilities Management environment.

This Engineer-level role is focused on transforming operational data into meaningful insights, clear visualizations, and actionable recommendations and projects. The position applies continuous improvement principles, data storytelling, CMMS analytics, Lean/Six Sigma concepts, and foundational reliability practices to identify trends, improve maintenance performance, support process standardization and efficiencies, and help account teams make informed business decisions.

The Continuous Improvement Engineer partners with operations, maintenance teams, account leadership, vendors, and client stakeholders to analyze work orders, asset information and history, vendors, PMs, financial, and KPI data, and processes/workflows. This role is ideal for an individual with 3โ€“8 years of experience who can connect data to operational outcomes, communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, and drive improvement initiatives that reduce waste, improve asset performance, create efficiencies and strengthen customer value.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Operational Analytics & Data Storytelling

  • Analyze work order, asset, PM, vendor, SLA, financial, and operational data to identify trends, risks, outliers, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop clear dashboards, scorecards, summaries, and visual stories that translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Present findings in a concise, compelling format for operations, account teams, leadership, and client stakeholders.
  • Own and execute projects associated with the above.

Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization

  • Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps, workflow inefficiencies, recurring issues, and opportunities for standardization.
  • Assist in developing improvement plans, tracking progress, validating results, and communicating outcomes.
  • Help convert lessons learned into repeatable processes, tools, and reporting approaches.
  • Execute actions associated with the above including developing and executing training materials

Reliability & Maintenance Performance Support

  • Evaluate asset performance, PM effectiveness, reactive work trends, repeat failures, emergency work volume, high repair costs and bad actor assets.
  • Support PM reviews, failure trend analysis (Execute Root Cause Analysis), maintenance optimization, and repair-versus-replace recommendations.
  • Facilitate alignment between account teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to maintain data quality, process compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Apply foundational reliability principles to improve asset performance and maintenance decision-making including an annual Cap Ex planning report identifying and prioritizing replacement recommendations based on Customer and EMCOR criteria

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication

  • Partner with operations, maintenance, account leadership, vendors, finance, procurement, technology, and client stakeholders.
  • Align data insights with business needs and operational priorities.
  • Communicate analytical findings in plain language to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Own and execute improvement actions and projects.

Reporting, KPI Development & Business Reviews

  • Support development, maintenance, and improvement of KPI results, reporting, operational scorecards, business review materials, and account-level performance summaries.
  • Help ensure reporting is accurate, consistent, visually clear, and tied to operational priorities.
  • Own and execute improvement actions and projects to drive improved data integrity and execution results.

Additional Responsibilities & Operational Support

  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary by Operations and CI&R leadership, including support for special projects, account initiatives, data validation efforts, and continuous improvement activities.

  • Experience analyzing operational or maintenance-related data and converting findings into recommendations.
  • Experience supporting process improvement, KPI reporting, dashboard development, or performance management activities.
  • CMMS platform experience preferred; Corrigo, Maximo, FEXA, or similar system experience is desirable.
  • Maintenance or facilities operations experience preferred, but not required if the candidate has strong data analytics and continuous improvement experience.

Licenses/Certifications
