Job description

Senior Social Media & Content Associate
Ibotta is seeking a Senior Social Media & Content Associate to to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. You will own and evolve our consumer-facing social media presence. This role is ideal for a social-native who operates with strategic independence, brings a point of view to platform and content innovation, and can seamlessly move between big-picture brand building and hands-on execution across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter (X).
You will serve as the primary steward of Ibotta's consumer-facing brand voice, responsible for driving awareness, follower growth, and saver engagement through compelling, platform-specific content. Beyond content creation, you will play a critical cross-functional role, partnering with Care and technical teams to triage and manage consumer communications during app incidents, and continuously finding net new ways to grow our audience and keep the Ibotta brand relevant to new savers.
This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Develop, own, and continuously refine a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with Ibotta's marketing objectives, promotional calendars, and brand guidelines. Bring forward proactive recommendations and new content formats without being asked.
  • Develop net new approaches to content creation that drive organic follower growth and brand relevance. Push the brand forward creatively to resonate with new and prospective savers across platforms and formats.
  • Own the full creative process from ideation to posting across all consumer channels. Design, shoot, and edit high-quality content with a strong emphasis on short-form video (Reels, TikToks), and write compelling, on-brand copy optimized for each platform's audience and algorithm.
  • Serve as a key voice in how the Ibotta brand shows up culturally, ensuring our social presence stays fresh, relevant, and appealing to the next generation of savers.
  • Act as the real-time bridge between consumers, Care, and technical teams during app incidents and issues, making fast, sound decisions about consumer-facing communications to protect the brand and maintain community trust.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key social media metrics including reach, engagement, follower growth, and conversions. Translate data into actionable strategy and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends, platform updates, and content formats, proactively integrating them to keep Ibotta's channels cutting-edge.
  • Partner with Care teams to maintain a cohesive brand voice in community engagement, and collaborate with the broader marketing team on influencer and partnership initiatives.

What We're Looking For:
  • 4+ years of professional experience managing social media accounts and creating content for a consumer-facing brand or agency, with a track record of driving measurable audience and engagement growth.
  • Deep, demonstrated understanding of best practices, algorithms, and content formats for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter (X).
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality, performance-driving content using mobile and desktop editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or Figma).
  • A strong point of view on brand voice and the ability to evolve it thoughtfully over time while staying true to core identity.
  • Proficiency in social analytics tools (e.g., native platform insights, Sprout Social) and the ability to translate data into content strategy.
  • Comfortable operating as a partner to Care, marketing, and technical teams, especially in fast-moving or high-stakes situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to write compelling, concise, brand-aligned copy under pressure.
  • A self-starter who operates with a high degree of ownership, thrives in ambiguity, and brings creative energy and strategic thinking in equal measure.

  • This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Employee Stock Purchase Program, and 401k match. Denver office perks include paid parking, snacks, and occasional meals.
  • Base compensation range: $67,000-$75,000. Equity is included in overall compensation package. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
