Job description

Description

First Page Sage is a B2B marketing agency specializing in SEO, AI Optimization, and Thought Leadership marketing, with a growing focus on holistic business strategy for our clients. We help companies build authority and visibility through high-quality, research-driven content. We're looking for a Marketing Associate to help fuel our internal marketing engine, someone who can turn ideas into polished, published content and take real ownership of the details.

About the Role

As Marketing Associate, you'll be the engine behind First Page Sage's own content and thought leadership output. You'll work closely with our Project Manager to plan and produce marketing copy, use AI tools to help draft articles, and then roll up your sleeves to heavily edit and refine that content until it's genuinely publication-ready. You'll also partner directly with our CEO to develop original metrics-driven articles that showcase our expertise. From there, you'll take content across the finish line, publishing it on our WordPress website with a sharp eye for formatting, structure, and presentation.

This is a hands-on role for someone who's driven, detail-obsessed, and comfortable using AI as a starting point rather than a finished product

Requirements

What You'll Do

  • Partner with our Project Manager to plan, draft, and produce marketing copy across blog posts, landing pages, articles, and website content
  • Use AI tools to help draft first-pass articles, then heavily edit, fact-check, and rewrite them to meet First Page Sage's quality and voice standards
  • Work directly with the CEO to research, draft, and refine original metrics-based articles
  • Publish and format content on WordPress, including basic CSS/HTML cleanup, image placement, internal linking, and on-page SEO best practices
  • Proofread and quality-check all content for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and consistency before it goes live
  • Maintain a consistent editorial standard and brand voice across all published material
  • Help keep the content calendar and publishing workflow organized and on schedule
  • Flag opportunities to improve existing content, site structure, or publishing processes

What We're Looking For

  • 1-3+ years of experience in marketing, content, copywriting, or a related field
  • Strong writing and editing skills: you can take rough or AI-generated drafts and turn them into clean, compelling, accurate copy
  • Comfort using AI writing tools as part of your workflow, paired with the judgment to know when the output isn't good enough
  • Hands-on experience with WordPress, including some basic CSS/HTML familiarity for publishing and formatting
  • A very high level of attention to detail - typos, broken formatting, and sloppy structure should bother you
  • Self-driven and able to manage your own workload with minimal hand-holding
  • Comfortable working directly with senior leadership (including our CEO) and taking direction from a Project Manager
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple articles/projects at once
  • Bonus: familiarity with SEO fundamentals, content marketing metrics, or B2B marketing

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Required fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Required to attend & participate in virtual meetings
  • Required to type proficiently
  • Required to maintain sufficient internet bandwidth to run company applications and attend meetings with clear video
  • A dedicated private & professional workspace, free from distractions and well-lit
  • Required to structure an environment conducive to productivity
  • Required to have consistent access to a computer, webcam, and microphone during working hours
  • Full adherence to FPS Dress Code and Cyber Security SOP

It is not to be construed as an exhaustive statement of duties, responsibilities or physical requirements.
