Job description

At Shinesty, our mission is to force the world to take itself less seriously. We make people laugh first and sell second. Our mothers don't always approve of what we do, but the millions of people we've entertained over the years do.
We're looking for a Paid Creative Producer who is ready to create video, stills, dynamics and any new ad format across all paid channels every single week. You find ad inspiration without even trying. You're deeply entrenched in social trends while understanding how paid creative differs from organic. You are ready to roll your sleeves up and be a creator by any means necessary: sourcing UGC, filming lo-fi iPhone content, directing hi-fi photo/video shoots, leveraging AI powered creative tools, etc. We all bring the ideas, you work quickly to get them produced and launched.
If you have more funny ideas than you know what to do with and you feel confined by boring brand guidelines...you've come to the right place to play, test and learn.
THE ROLE:
The Creative Producer will work under our Creative Strategist and with the rest of the creative team to come up with scroll-stopping and high converting concepts and then go out and create them. Whether that's shot-listing and directing a video shoot, sourcing an influencer for the perfect concept, writing an authentic testimonial script, recording yourself selfie style for a quick hook test, or picking up the phone and shooting for an hour to grab a new audience. You are quick on your feet, you love bringing an idea to life, you're willing to be weird, you don't shy away from new things, you're willing to be bold and fail, and you want to learn how to make each piece of content better than the last.
Requirements
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Analyze and internalize performance insights from team members and build on what's working, learn from what's not
  • Brainstorm a plethora of ideas, qualify and prioritize them, get approvals, go out and actually create the content whether that be leveraging existing content, using AI creative tools, working with our photographer/videographer, with another producer, with talent, or on your own with an iPhone, a hypothesis and the desire to get it done right
  • Work directly with our photographer/videographer, Creative Producer, Graphic Designers and Video Editors to bring your ideas to life
  • Manage Campaigns: strategize, conceptualize and execute smaller scale campaigns by building and testing strong content
  • Write scripts in Shinesty's brand voice
  • Write UGC scripts like a chameleon: be able to adapt Shinesty's brand voice into the audience you are targeting
  • Manage content, relationships, timelines, and budgets with influencers and creators as necessary
  • Write on brand ad copy
  • Review your past launches, iterate on what worked, learn from what didn't, build your next test stronger than the last
  • Use AI to enhance your workflows, provide proof of concept and even create launch-ready assets

WHO YOU ARE:
  • You're a creator who understands performance balancing audience needs and wants, not just someone who makes funny or aesthetic content: you prioritize the best and cut the weak concepts.
  • You know what paid success looks like. You can clearly articulate why video 1 scaled and video 2 flopped.
  • You have an abundance of ideas running around in your brain that are dying to get out.
  • You understand how different audiences respond to different formats and messages at different points in the funnel.
  • You are a clear communicator and a team player
  • You can work independently when the idea calls for it. You're willing to pick up a phone and execute your ground-breaking ideas
  • You have 1-3 years experience working in content creation for paid social and/or you have an eye for what makes content engaging: you document your life, trips, food, pets, etc in an engaging way and are ready to apply your talents to Shinesty's content
  • You have copywriting instinct - human tone is essential, perfection is not required
  • You are comfortable directing talent on set
  • You see what needs to happen and get it done without waiting for answers to every question
  • You are in-tune to internet culture and both paid and organic social trends

DON'T HAVE THE EXACT EXPERIENCE?
Convince us you can do the job anyways. We care if you:
  • Have a tenacious attitude for entertaining and know when to champion an idea
  • Make us laugh
  • Get the brand
  • Can explain / show how you would get it done
  • Want to build something unique every single week and learn from your success and failures

Benefits
  • Mixed WFH with majority of days in office (We have spaces in both Boulder and Denver)
  • Salary range: $55,000-$75,000 annually
  • Laptop + whatever other equipment you need
  • Access to any AI platform that will make you better at your job
  • Medical, dental, vision insurance
  • Dog-friendly office
  • Flexible PTO, no need to accrue time take as much as you'd like
  • Flexible working hours, get your work done and generate results
  • Discounted and occasionally free products from Shinesty.com
