Join Our Team as a Payroll Specialist/Bookkeeper!

This is a one-site postion in the Clarkston, MI. Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in the accounting industry? Allen & Associates Consulting Services, LLC is seeking a motivated Payroll Specialist/Bookkeeper to join our team in Clarkston, MI. As a Payroll Specialist/Bookkeeper with us, you will have the chance to work with a experienced team of professionals and gain valuable experience in the field of accounting.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for employees accurately and timely using QuickBooks Desktop Software
  • Prepare and maintain payroll records and reports
  • Prepare payroll tax returns, file and pay payroll taxes 940, 941, 5080, 1028
  • Ensure compliance with all payroll regulations and laws
  • Assist with monthly bookeeping activities for clients using QB Desktop or QB Online
  • Reconcile client accounts

Required Skills:

  • Experience with journal entries and financial statements
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Experience with multi-state payroll and tax compliance
  • Strong understanding of balance sheets and reconciliations
  • Proficiency in QBO and QBD accounting software
  • QuickBooks ProAdvisor (Strongly Preferred)

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with non-profit or governmental accounting
  • Familiarity with payroll taxes and year-end closing processes
  • Ability to perform general ledger and account reconciliation
  • Knowledge of accruals and balance sheet reconciliation
