Description

The Product Configuration Coordinator is responsible for developing, programming, and maintaining accurate product configurations within the configuration software to support engineering, drafting, and production. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that custom designs are translated into precise, manufacturing outputs, while maintaining consistency, efficiency, and alignment with Euroline's standards. 

Requirements

Essential Functions: 

  • Responsible for developing, configuring, and maintaining product rules and logic within the configuration software for custom steel windows and door designs
  • Translate engineering and design requirements into functional configuration software outputs
  • Collaborate with engineering, drafting, production teams, and configuration software supplier to ensure accurate product configurations
  • Support the creation and generation of shop drawings, BOM's, cut lists, and manufacturing workflow
  • Troubleshoot and resolve programming or configuration issues within the configuration software
  • Continuously improve and optimize configuration software processes for efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
  • Ensure all programmed outputs align with company standards, specifications, and quality expectations
  • Assist in integrating configuration software outputs with internal systems such as ERP and other production workflows
  • Maintain proper documentation of configurations, rules, and updates
  • Support new product development by building and testing configurations within configuration software
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal users working with configuration software outputs
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to align programming with operational needs. 

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of configurable product logic and parametric design
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and architectural details
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, especially in documentation 
  • Ability to communicate technical details to technical and non-technical teammates both verbally and visually
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Education and Experience:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in engineering, drafting, computer science, or related field preferred. 
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Experience in manufacturing, preferably in windows, doors, or custom fabrication environments
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks, DraftSight, or similar
  • Understanding of production processes, materials, and fabrication methods. 
  • Experience working with V6 software or similar product configuration /programming systems
  • Experience working with ERP or manufacturing systems (Epicor preferred)
  • Basic familiarity in SQL and scripting/coding a plus
