Actively seeking an Associate Engineer to join our Precise Systems team at Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) in support of the MK 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS) In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) Systems Engineering Branch . This full-time, in-office contract position provides VLS engineering support in execution of the in-service engineering agent tasking across the VLS systems project portfolio.

This role is critical in aligning engineering, test, and logistics activities with program objectives to sustain fleet readiness and increase combat system capabilities. Duties: * Provide engineering technical services for VLS tasks, including but not limited to: Support for launcher installation & upgrade, testing & evaluation, failure investigation & troubleshooting, computer diagnostics, technical documentation authoring, editing, and updating of shipboard procedures, waivers, and test plans * Analyze and review new Launcher Software System and Computer Programs; Test software applications for MK 41 launching system. Utilize Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and tools including Microsoft Visual Studio, with expertise in Visual C++, LabVIEW, and Visual Basic * Support technical and integrated product support for technical and IPS (logistics) documentation, including but not limited to Technical Manuals (TM), Planned Maintenance System (PMS), operation and maintenance procedures, training materials, AIT workbooks, product quality deficiency reports (PQDRs), technical papers, acceptance demonstration procedures, software test plans, software requirements document, version description documents, test requirement documents, technical requirement documents, and related documentation in support of various Launching Systems, canisters, and related equipment.

Required Experience: * Zero (0) to two (2) years' experience in electrical, computer, or systems engineering, specifically related to troubleshooting and failure investigating operational failures; use of technical manuals, engineering drawings & schematics, design documentation, and technical specifications for fault isolation * As required, the candidate must successfully pass: * 10-week VLS In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA)/Fleet Service Representative (FSR) course * Complete the VLS Personnel Certification Program and obtain System Maintenance Certification (SMT) as a condition to continued employment. Required Skills and Knowledge: * Problem-solving skills in identifying problems, developing solutions, and implementing fixes; breaking down complex issues into smaller, manageable parts and finding creative solutions * Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders, present findings, and facilitate technical discussion and collaboration * Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, Teams) Required Education: * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field. An advanced degree is a plus.

This position is covered by the Service Contract Labor Standard under a Wage Determination. As such Under the SCA selected candidates are entitled to both the hourly rate aforementioned and a health and welfare benefit. Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $56,028.8 to $84,042.17 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
