Job description

Job Title: Manufacturing Systems Administrator
Location: Perry, GA
Type: Contract
Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00
Work Model: Onsite – onsite
Hours: 40.0
 

Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing systems and related hardware/software.
  • Monitor system performance and resolve issues to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
  • Install system updates, patches, and approved software enhancements.
  • Support end users by diagnosing and resolving manufacturing system issues.
  • Assist with system integrations, configuration changes, and equipment connectivity.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user guides.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Perform system backups and assist with data recovery when required.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and recovery testing.
  • Conduct routine system health checks and audits to identify and correct operational issues.
  • Maintain user accounts, permissions, and system security in accordance with company policies.
  • Communicate system status, maintenance activities, and incidents to management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies related to cybersecurity, data integrity, and change management.
  • Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to other team members.

Requirements

  • Associate''s or Bachelor''s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or business systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting Windows-based systems, networking fundamentals, and hardware.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a production environment.
  • Experience with MES, SCADA, PLC-connected systems, or industrial automation (preferred).
  • Experience with SQL databases and reporting tools (preferred).
  • Knowledge of barcode printing, vision systems, or manufacturing peripherals (preferred).
  • Experience working in a food or regulated manufacturing environment (preferred).
