Job Summary

The Associate Data Scientist supports analytics, forecasting, and machine learning initiatives across AEG Presents. This role assists with analyzing structured and unstructured data, developing reporting solutions, and identifying insights that support ticketing, marketing, finance, venue operations, and festival teams. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and technical skills, is comfortable working with large datasets, and is eager to grow within a fast-paced live entertainment environment.

Essential Functions

  • Support the development and maintenance of forecasting and predictive models related to ticket sales, attendance, marketing performance, and other business metrics to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Apply statistical analysis and basic machine learning techniques to support forecasting, reporting, and analytical projects.
  • Assist with NLP and text analysis projects involving customer feedback, surveys, and social media content to identify sentiment and recurring themes.
  • Assist with customer segmentation, behavioral analysis, and audience targeting initiatives to support marketing effectiveness and fan engagement strategies.
  • Analyze structured and unstructured datasets from ticketing systems, marketing platforms, surveys, CRM systems, web activity, and event operations to identify trends and actionable insights.
  • Build and maintain datasets, dashboards, workflows, and recurring reports to support analytics initiatives and business operations.
  • Prepare dashboards, presentations, and summaries that communicate analytical findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) Bachelor's degree in: Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Operations Research, Physics, or a related quantitative field
  • 1-2 years Data Science, Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning, Business Intelligence, or a related quantitative field.
  • Working knowledge of SQL with the ability to query, join, clean, and analyze structured datasets.
  • Working knowledge of Python or similar programming language for data analysis, reporting, statistical analysis, and basic machine learning workflows.
  • Understanding of foundational statistical and analytical concepts including regression, classification, clustering, forecasting, and segmentation techniques.
  • Familiarity with data preparation, feature engineering, model validation, and data quality review processes.
  • Exposure to NLP and text analysis concepts such as sentiment analysis, topic modeling, text preprocessing, and summarization preferred.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends, patterns, and actionable business insights.
  • Experience creating reports, dashboards, or data visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Excel, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Familiarity with ticketing, marketing, CRM, customer engagement, digital analytics, or event-related datasets preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across analytics, marketing, finance, operations, engineering, and business teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, consistency, and documentation.
  • Eagerness to learn new analytical tools, technologies, and business processes within a live entertainment environment.

Payscale: $69,705 - $109,200

Bonus: This position is not eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
