Job Description:
At Regions, the Commercial Banking Leader directs, coordinates, and leads the business development and relationship management activities of a team of Commercial Relationship Managers in an assigned geographic location. This leader works within the Commercial Banking group and targets general industry clients with annual revenues between $1MM - $250MM. The role is focused on revenue growth, business model execution, sales performance, sound risk practices and customer satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Manages sales processes and coaches Commercial Relationship Managers in all relationship development efforts
  • Sets call and sales goals, ensuring they are clearly communicated to Commercial Relationship Managers
  • Provides sales coaching and feedback on pipeline of new and expanded business
  • Ensures adherence to internal policies and procedures
  • Provides leadership and support to Commercial Relationship managers while building a team-oriented culture of excellence
  • Performs general management duties, exercising usual authority concerning staff, performance appraisals, promotions, and terminations

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Seven (7) years of experience in commercial banking, sales, or relationship management
  • Demonstrated credit acumen

Preferences
  • Master's degree in related field
  • Prior experience in management/supervisory role
