About the Role

As an Associate Claims Examiner, you’ll join a collaborative, fast-paced team where no two days are the same. We promote from within and offer clear career paths — no prior claims experience required. If you bring strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and a drive to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.

  • Conducting thorough investigations throughout all stages of the claims process.
  • Evaluating coverage and drafting clear, accurate correspondence to policyholders.
  • Communicating proactively with policyholders, claimants, and other stakeholders to keep all parties informed on claim status.
  • Determining liability, assessing exposure, and negotiating claims through to resolution.
  • Maintaining accurate, organized documentation and records in each claim file.
  • Driving claims toward timely and effective resolution with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
What You Bring
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or relevant experience in the insurance industry.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage a high-volume claims desk.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • A team-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience directing investigations are a plus.
Why You’ll Love Working at Kinsale
  • Competitive Pay & Bonus Opportunities – Rewarding performance and initiative with a strong base salary and performance-based bonuses.
  • Comprehensive Benefits – Health, dental, and vision insurance with up to $3,600 (individual) or $6,800 (family) in HSA contributions per year.
  • Work-Life Balance – Generous paid time off including 22 days of PTO and 10 paid company holidays.
  • Career Growth – Clear promotion paths from within, dedicated mentorship, and ongoing professional development.
  • Retirement & Security – Up to 6% matching 401(k) contributions on base salary and bonus, fully vested from day one, plus standard life insurance and disability coverage.
  • Continuous Learning – Annual $3,000 reimbursement for educational training and professional certifications.
Integrity & Responsibility

Kinsale values strong financial responsibility. A credit check will be conducted as part of the selection process for roles that require sound judgment, trustworthiness, or access to sensitive information.
