Job description

Position Summary: 

Asa WastewaterTechnicianat Pentagon, you willbe responsible forthe mixing of chemicals,chemical analysis of tank compositions, and treating chemical waste from our facilities. 

**The hours for the role are M-F, 2pm-10:30pm**

WhatYou’llDo: 

  • Treat waste from processes and manage chemical waste, including filtration and the maintenance of chemical tanks. 

  • Collect and review data related to instrument performance, part pass/fail rates, and inventory usage, collaborating with engineering on baseline data monitoring. 

  • Inspect and process components frominitialstage to completion,maintainingquality control. 

  • Support Chemists and Senior Wastewater Laboratory Technicians as needed. 

  • Maintain equipment calibration and operational status;participatein safety training asrequired. 

  • Communicate status updates, incidents, and requests with team members. 

  • Strong mathematical skills for processing inventory and performing complex calculations related to chemistry concentrations. 

  • Familiarity with chemical handling and safety protocols, particularly in relation to hazardous waste management. 

  • Experience with chemical background and hazardous waste management, particularly in industrialsettingsis preferred. 

  • Knowledge of machinery and pumps related to wastewater treatment processes. 

Safety: 

Employee will be trained in, and is to follow and lead by example, all general safety requirements of Pentagon Technologies as well as specific safetyregulatory requirements 

Work Environment: 

Must be able to function well in an office environment. Must also be able to work in a controlled chemical and wastewater environment. Must also be able to perform in a laboratory environment.Persons who are sensitive to chemical environments with such medical conditions as asthma, allergies, or extreme sensitivity to chemicals may not be considered as good candidates for this position.Ableto travel to the various Pentagon Technologies Facilities asrequired.PPE isrequired. 

Physical Demands: 

Must passCompanyrequired screening tests.The employeeis regularly required tosit and stand, reach with hands andarmsand perform light routine office work, which includes computer workstation usage.Should be able topick-up35lbsonoccasionalor regular basis.
