Our premium product line has earned widespread critical acclaim and set the industry benchmark for quality, performance, and design.
Who Are You
You're a sales professional who thrives on opening doors, building relationships and winning new business. You're comfortable being on the road, talking to anyone and turning first conversations into long-term partnerships. You're organized, resilient, curious about the market and energized by autonomy and accountability.
What's the Role About
The Outside Sales Specialist is responsible for expanding Puffco's retail footprint by identifying, engaging, and closing new retail partners within an assigned territory. This role owns the first sale from initial introduction through close, while laying the foundation for long-term account success through a clean handoff to Account Management.

You are on the front lines of Puffco, representing the brand in real life, in real stores, and in real communities.
This is a highly field-focused role that blends new business prospecting with in-store relationship building, education, and premium brand execution. You will help shape how Puffco shows up in the market, driving not just business development but excitement, loyalty, and community, while playing a key role in building something bigger than a single sale.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
  • Identify, research and qualify new retail partners within assigned territory
  • Prospect new accounts through in-person visits, outbound outreach and local market research
  • Set meetings with buyers and key decision-makers
  • Deliver compelling product pitches and handle early-stage objections
  • Own the first sale from introduction through close
  • Ensure a clean and thorough handoff to Account Management post-close
  • Maintain accurate CRM records for prospects, pipeline, activity and closed business
  • Partner cross-functionally and provide feedback to HQ on market trends and customer insights

Store Visits & Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with retail partners to drive brand loyalty, awareness and sales
  • Build, plan and execute strategic travel routes to maximize efficiency and impact across multiple client visits
  • Ensure Puffco products are in stock, clean, organized, and merchandised to premium standards
  • Assist with warranty support and basic troubleshooting when needed
  • Help promote and manage staff incentives and retail promotions
  • Provide detailed visit and event recaps to Channel Manager, Account Manager, and Retail Marketing

Activations & Training
  • Support retail and client-led event initiatives, activations, and in-store experiences while representing Puffco on the front lines of culture and community
  • Educate retail associates on concentrates, Puffco brand values and the full Puffco product portfolio
  • Become a subject-matter expert on Puffco products, technology, and customer use cases
  • Tailor education and product demos to help associates confidently recommend the right Puffco product to the right consumer

What You Bring
  • 2+ years of experience in field sales, business development, or brand activation (cannabis, CPG, or specialty retail preferred)
  • Proven ability to prospect, pitch, and close new business
  • Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, territory-based role
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and basic reporting
  • Passion for cannabis culture, concentrates, and premium consumer products
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (products, displays, event materials, and demo kits), with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Reliability and professionalism
  • Ability to travel extensively within assigned territory, including multi-week travel periods
  • Valid driver's license and ability to legally operate a motor vehicle for work-related travel
  • Reliable transportation for frequent in-territory travel
  • Must be able to legally access licensed cannabis retail locations as required for the role.

This role is based in Philadelphia, PA and requires regular travel within territory/region with occasional travel to our Los Angeles HQ.
The compensation range for this role is $60,000 - $65,000 plus monthly commission plan and annual bonus. Individual compensation is determined based on experience and skillset.
Perks and Benefits:
