Key Account Associate - Fashion Channel
*This is a Hybrid Position requiring in-office presence in San Francisco 2-3 times a week, subject to change based on business needs.
The Salary Range for this position is $95,000 - $105,000 per year. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement savings plan with company match, PTO, and other employee perks.
Mission:
To drive business performance by supporting the Key Accounts function through strategic execution, data driven insights, and cross-functional collaboration. The Key Accounts Associate plays a pivotal role in managing smaller categories, facilitating milestone meetings, and optimizing retail strategies to enhance business growth.
Scope:
The Key Account Associate reports to the Director, Key Accounts Fashion. This is a highly autonomous role responsible for managing assigned categories, projects, and business initiatives with minimal supervision. The Associate serves as a key liaison between customers and internal teams, driving business performance through strategic analysis, project leadership, operational execution, and proactive problem solving.
Role Expectations:
Strategic Support & Category Ownership:
  • Develop a strong understanding of the business, customer, brand vision, and market trends.
  • Manage assigned categories and initiatives while supporting sales, profitability, and growth objectives.
  • Identify opportunities, risks, and business drivers, developing recommendations and action plans to improve performance.
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability for assigned categories, projects, and business results.

Milestone Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Organize and facilitate key milestone meetings (e.g., Roadmap, Midsight, Hindsight), ensuring all deliverables are met, and stakeholders are aligned on category progress and future plans.
  • Present business performance, strategic initiatives, and recommendations to customers and leadership.
  • Build strong relationships through professionalism, executive presence, and clear communication.

Business Analysis & Reporting:
  • Analyze sales performance and apply retail math to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Develop business updates, executive summaries, and performance reports.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and market research to support category recommendations.
  • Translate data into actionable insights, recommendations, and next steps.

Project Leadership & Operational Support:
  • Lead cross-functional projects and customer initiatives from planning through execution.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Support store openings, closures, relocations, expansions, and operational initiatives.
  • Proactively identify business challenges, recommend solutions, and drive issues through resolution.
  • Escalate risks appropriately with clear recommendations and action plans.

Administrative Duties:
  • Manage milestone tracking, reporting, calendars, meeting preparation, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate product samples, presentations, customer facing deliverables, and business logistics.
  • Maintain a high level of organization, follow-through, and communication across all responsibilities.

Critical Experiences:
  • 3-5 years of experience in account management, merchandising, or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of the apparel product lifecycle and the merchandising process.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using retail math, Excel, and reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • SAP and retail software experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
